My Scariest Nightmare - The Uninvited Contest
Okay, let's see. Mine would have to be when I had just recently seen my best friend. It felt so real. I'll tell it like I saw it.
It was a usual day and I was walking to my car which happens to be what I drive in real life, a 2001 Honda, its green. But my boyfriend's sister walked up to me and goes. "Are you going to prom?" Which I remember thinking that it was weird because I wasn't even supposed to see her, she was supposed to be at her house.
I told her yes, and left after she watched me. You know one of those spooky feelings, which all eyes are on you? Yeah.
Well, I ended up going home and grabbing my "prom dress." After that I ran to my boyfriend's house, he was still living with his parents at the time. I go inside the house without knocking and he tells me to get dressed and everything before his mother and father got home. I go to the upstairs bathroom and do just that. I walk down the stairs afterwards and see him talking to his mother. She smiles at me as I reach him taking his arm. "Hello dear," I remember her saying. Me and my boyfriend both here someone upstairs, his mother might have too, I don't remember. But it sounded like a body hitting the floor. His sister comes downstairs saying she stubbed her toe. So I was like ok! That's what we figured we heard. So we go to my boyfriend's truck and his sister calls shotgun, etc. We get to prom but not before dropping off his sister. For some reason in my dream the prom is over like a snap of a finger. Bam were at a house party. So I walk in with him, and the lights kind of flickered on and off.
I figured ok this is weird. But whatever right? I go to my best friend and sit next to her talking, as the electricity goes out. Most people scream and half run out as a man, I don't know who the man was, of course but he reminded me of an actor I've seen. Can't place a name, but he is from one of the horror movies I've seen. He walks in covered in blood, saying something about the ladies next door--then her house is on fire. I get a sort of premonition. I guess, about the lady and her daughter watching television, and him killing her slowly with a knife and cutting her throat as her daughter watched. Creepy but not really. I've seen worse in movies, of course. But it felt so real, then he goes to their front porch with the daughter making her carry her mother, to the porch and lighting it on fire. All of sudden the porch floors go under burying them two and the man walks over to the "party." But then I woke up! Of course I would. I really wanted to know what was going to happen to us. But that's how nightmares are. I couldn't breathe well either, smelled like smoke in the house.
That's the scariest it gets for me, or I just picture the kid from "The Unborn." And his blue eyes, staring at me. :)
I just blogged about my scariest nightmare to enter The Uninvited Scariest Nightmare Contest for 1,000 credits. You can earn free credits too! Brought to you by The Uninvited - In Theaters January 30th.
